Yevhen made a substitute appearance 73 minutes into the game. After the final whistle he was very emotional and shared his impressions of the match:
- It was great to make a debut! As I found out that I would be on players’ list I was very nervous.
- When did they tell you this good news?
- In the morning Serhiy Fedorov came to my room and told that I would be on players’ list. I called my parents at once to gladden them.
- Did you expect that you would take the field?
- Serhiy Rebrov told that I would if we have problems in this zone.
- Was it difficult to follow the game sitting on the bench?
- I was waiting for Serhiy Rebrov to call me as I really wanted to play .When he did I put on the shirt wrong side foremost. Teammates told me to breathe deeper (smiling).
- What are your impressions of the game? Was it difficult to join it?
- I think the team played very well in the first half. After the break Guingamp scored, which made our task more complicated. As for my anxiety, it was gone after I took the field.
- What tasks did Serhiy Rebrov set for you?
- He said: “Be calm, you know what you should do, everything is fine”.
- Did teammates support you?
- Sure, but no one yelled at me. I like their attitude.
- How did you feel playing at the crowded stadium?
- It’s always been my dream. I guess I haven’t realized what’s happened yet (smiling).
- What did Serhiy Rebrov tell you after the game?
- He thanked me. Teammates also congratulated me on the debut. Ihor Surkis praised me.
