After the game against FC Copenhagen, the White-Blues coach applied significant lineup rotation. There were five changes among the first eleven. Karavayev, Harmash, Rodrigues, Shaparenko and Sol replaced Kedziora, Shepelev, Verbic, de Pena (suspended) and Besedin.
The home side took the ball under control at once. Tsyhankov attempted from the free kick, then visitors’ keeper parried the shot by Sydorchuk. Karpaty responded with a counterattack which resulted in the shot wide by Jennings. Late in the first half Lviv side could open the score, but Bushchan and then Karavayev saved Dynamo.
Right after the break Verbic and Besedin replaced Rodrigues and Sol. 49 minutes into the game Tsyhankov rushed into the penalty area, put a low cross and Verbic hit the target – 1:0.
Olexiy Mykhailychenko’s men kept attacking and creating chances (24 shots in this game, 16 on target), but failed to use them. Shaparenko hit the bar 84 minutes into the game. And then Karpaty equalized. Boiciuc put a cross into Dynamo box from the left side and Shabanov scored own goal.
The White-Blues tried to grab the winner and actually had chances, but they also could lose if Boiciuc scored in one-on-one situation.
Six minutes in a stoppage time Sydorchuk put a cross into the box, Shaparenko attempted with one-touch shot, Martins blocked the ball with his hand, but referee refused to award obvious penalty for Dynamo.
So, it’s 1:1. On October 30 the White-Blues will face FC Shakhtar Donetsk in the Ukrainian Cup.
