The White-Blues returned from Sweden only on Friday morning and dedicated two days to reconditioning before the following game. They had stuff to think about because Olimpik have turned from hopeless underdogs into real claimants upon the place in top six. They won four out of five previous matches and played in a draw once.
Dynamo took the situation on the field under control very quickly. Olimpik keeper Penkov did a good job after two shots by Besedin and parried the attempt of Shaparenko. Anyway, late in the first half Kyivans found the gap in Donetsk side defense and opened the score. De Pena put a cross from the left side, goalkeeper didn’t manage to clear the ball and Besedin headed it in.
Still it didn’t late Olimpik long to equalize. In their following attack Shabanov missed the ball, Shahab obtained it, rushed into the penalty area and scored in one-on-one situation.
Another Dynamo trouble in the first half was the injury of Vitaliy Mykolenko. He left the field holding the posterior surface of his hip.
The White-Blues coach didn’t make any substitutions right after the break and the team couldn’t create real danger for a while. Meanwhile Shahab caused our defense problems. At first Kedziora didn’t let him shoot and then Shabanov saved the team in a tricky situation.
73 minutes into the game Olimpik got outnumbered. Kravchuk was sent off for the rough foul against Karavayev. And then Dynamo took the lead again. Karavayev put a low cross into the box from the left side and Besedin hit the open goal. The third goal was scored by de Pena after low cross by Shepelev.
