- Unfortunately I won’t play against FC Shakhtar Donetsk on Sunday. But this is football, sometimes it’s not all in players’ hands. I felt certain discomfort in my leg at the training camp and told doctors about that. The injury isn’t very serious, but I’ll miss the game against Shakhtar.
- Are Dynamo 100% ready for the season?
- We’ve had only a month to get ready, but we’ve fulfilled our plan for the training camp. I think we’re ready, but several players are still recovering.
- Have you found common ground with newcomers – Kadiri and Karavayev?
- Sure, they’re great guys. They have significant experience and they’re true professionals. I think they’ll benefit our team. Kadiri has good potential. He’s a physically strong and versatile player. Karavayev is very skillful and fast. He can play both as right winger and right back.
- What do you think of the Champions League drawing?
- I’m satisfied as I like Belgian teams. They’ve much in common with Dutch I’ve very familiar with. Brugge are good team, but I think we’re stronger, faster and more skillful.
- What did you lack to win the league last season?
- We lacked some luck. Our key performers got injured before key fixtures. Halfway through the season we did very well. We outplayed Olympiacos and flattened Zoria, but then some players picked up injuries. When we opposed Shakhtar, we were better than them.
