Dynamo Kyiv U19 midfielder Ivan Andreiko shared his thoughts after the team’s 6:0 victory over Kryvbas in the National U19 League — a match in which he found the net.
– Despite the final score Dynamo couldn’t open the scoring for over half an hour. How difficult was the match against Kryvbas?
– Indeed, the opponent covered the spaces on the pitch very well so we were only able to take our chances through quick decision-making. It was a tough game, especially since we spent a lot of energy in the UEFA Youth League.
– How much did the trip to Poland and back for the UEFA Youth League match affect the team’s physical condition?
– Our coaching staff calculated the recovery process and preparation for the next match very well so physically we were in optimal conditions heading into this league game.
– You scored six goals past Kryvbas – something Dynamo hadn’t done in a single match this season. Can we say you finally converted everything that didn’t go in against Zorya?
– In general, yes. We managed to finish the chances that we hadn’t been able to take in previous league matches.
– You hadn’t scored in the league for over a year — your last goal came on September 28, 2024, against Livyi Bereh. What emotions are you feeling now?
– I’m just happy to be playing again and helping my team. Scoring or providing assists isn’t the main thing for me — the most important thing is that the team wins.
– You missed a large part of the season due to a serious injury. Can you say that all problems are behind you now and that you’ve reached your optimal form?
– I’m very happy to be back on the pitch after a difficult injury. I’m working hard to give 100% in every game and I hope that in the next matches I’ll reach my best form and continue helping the team.
