- This is a very important game against decent opponent. I know two players, who currently feature for Copenhagen. One of them is a forward (Michael Santos) and another – right back (Guillermo Varela). Besides, their left winger (Viktor Fischer) used to play with me for Middlesbrough FC. We’re in for two difficult matches. I hope we’ll get three points in Kyiv and at least one in Copenhagen.
I also hope we’ll have great support of our fans. It’s good that the first game takes place in Kyiv.
- How far can Dynamo reach in this Europa League campaign?
- Our first task is to get out of the group. I think we can totally do it. We should move from one game to another. The aim is to qualify for play-offs and after the winter break we’ll see how far we can reach. We have a decent team, so it’s all in our hands.
- In the previous UPL game Mykolenko turned your cross into goal and thus handed Dynamo victory. Is your mutual understanding getting better?
- I really like this guy, his human qualities. When I joined the team, we found a common ground very quickly. I guess there’s no need to tell what kind of player he is. You can see how he features for Dynamo and Ukraine national team. He performed a great assist as Ukraine hosted Portugal. Mykolenko is very important to Dynamo. I think many European teams can be interested in him.
