FC Dynamo Kyiv defender Kostiantyn Vivcharenko has summarized the first part of the season, recalled his debut on professional level and told how he spends his winter break.
- After your debut for Dynamo in the game against Fenerbahce, you said you could hardly sleep at night. Do you already feel as the first team regular?
- Sure, it’s really great, but one should always keep working and proving he deserves this spot.
- It must be a special feeling – to score your first goal in the Champions League?
- Yes, the goal against Sturm is one of the most memorable events for me and my family, so I was very emotional.
- Do you think Dynamo third place in the league table is acceptable, considering how the season started?
- Of course it’s not. Dynamo must always be on top. We started the season really poorly.
- Do you agree there’s no more significant gap between UPL teams because of war?
- Every team tries to deprive leaders of points, so sometimes intriguing matches happen. That makes our league even more interesting.
- How was the year 2022 for you and the team?
- It was the hardest year for the whole country. As for football, we had to travel a lot which took a lot of strength and emotions.
- Which game was the best and the worst for Dynamo?
- Games against Sturm were really positive while the match against Dnipro-1 was disappointing.
- What motivates you not to give up when things are tough?
- My family and our warriors, who sacrifice themselves every day. We’re very thankful to our soldiers!
- What do you do during the winter break?
- I’m just having rest and meeting my friends.
- Your native Odesa suffers blackouts because of russian attacks. Do you keep in touch with your family?
- I try to every day, but sometimes I can’t reach them as there’s no electricity. Anyway, everyone’s fine and safe.
- Do any of your relatives or friends defend Ukraine in the frontline?
- Yes, I know people defending us against enemies.
- Do you follow the World Cup? Whom do you support?
- I do and I support Argentina.
- What would you like to wish Dynamo fans and all Ukrainians?
- First of all I wish all of us peace, good health and patience. Glory to Ukraine!
