The White-Blues first opponent in the round of 32 will be FC Zirka Kirovohrad. The match will take place on August 23 at 18:00.
Dynamo: not expecting the game to be easy
The Ukrainian Cup round of 32 has only one leg, which makes forthcoming fixtures more intriguing. Zirka players will have a great motivation and desire to approve themselves opposing the leader of Ukrainian football. Dynamo mustn’t underestimate their opponent considering that two weeks ago Kyivans drew against the UPL newcomer.
After two-match suspension Domagoj Vida will get a chance to take the field in Kirovohrad.
As for the White-Blues injured performers, they are Dieumerci Mbokani and Lukman Haruna. Miguel also has some problems with his ankle-guard.
Zirka: to regain face after failures in domestic league
Zirka supporters have named the match against Dynamo “game of the decade”. It’s expected that there will be a full house at the stadium in Kirovohrad.
Last season Zirka had a chance to finish the Ukrainian First League season in top five, but two draws in a row didn’t let them do that.
Start of the current season also was a failure for Zirka. They have only two points after four matches.
Thus the game against Dynamo is a good chance to regain face for Kirovohrad side.
Opposition history
Dynamo played three matches against Zirka in the Ukrainian Cup. (one in 1995/96 season round of 16 and two in 1998/99 season semifinal). Kyivans won all of them. Goal difference is 8:1.
Taking into account the Ukrainian Premier League, Dynamo faced Kirovohrad side 14 times. The White-Blues won 13 games while Zirka – one. Goal difference is 47:8.
