Before the game Kyiv side lineup problems were quite an issue. Mbokani, Gonzalez, Kravets, Harmash, Vida… Leaders of the team stayed at home to recover from injuries (Buialskyi was suspended), so ambitious youngsters got a chance. It’s funny, but Olexandr Khatskevych had four players on the bench, who’re under 20. Running ahead of the story we congratulate Mykola Shaparenko and Nazariy Rusyn on their debut in euro cups!
The White-Blues started the game with 4-4-2 formation with two forwards – Besedin and Moraes. It all began really well for Dynamo. Tsyhankov opened the score after assist from Moroziuk.
Still in two minutes the home side equalized. Lilaj unleashed the shot from 23-meter distance and the ball hit the net after rebound. After that Moraes could take Dynamo ahead again, but hit the bar.
After the break visitors acted too passively and really lacked creative player in the midfield.
52 minutes into the game Adeniyi headed the ball in and referee didn’t cancel this goal though he was offside. Four minutes later Sowe scored in one-on-one situation.
Olexandr Khatskevych decided to take a risk and young Shaparenko and Rusyn took the field. That really enforced our team. Eventually Nazariy scored his first goal in euro cups!
As far as FK Partizan defeated BSC Young Boys in another group B game, Dynamo will struggle for the first place against Serbian side on December 7 in Kyiv.
