- AS for the national cup, Ferencvarosi reached the final, but lost against Paksi FC in extra time.
Dynamo
- Dynamo finished second in the Ukrainian Premier League last season with two points behind Shakhtar. The White-Blues won 22 games, lost 3 and drew 5 times (goal difference – 72:28).
- Kyivans tumbled out of the Ukrainian Cup in the round of 16 as they narrowly lost against Obolon.
- The previous euro cups campaign ended for the White-Blues in summer as they were outplayed by Besiktas in the Conference League play-off round.
Current season
This season both sides are already more successful in euro cups than last year. Both teams are leading their domestic leagues. Ferencvarosi have already completed two national cup rounds while Dynamo – one.
