FC Dynamo Kyiv head coach Mircea Lucescu will have to temporarily cease performing his duties due to health issues and surgery necessity.
His assistant coach Olexandr Shovkovskyi will be in charge of the team while he’s absent. That’s what Mircea Lucescu said after the game against FC Shakhtar Donetsk on Saturday:
- I’m going on sick leave. As you know, I need a surgery. I trust my doctor, so I’ll have it done in Kyiv. I could do it abroad, but I will stay here to be closer to the team.
Olexandr Shovkovskyi will be preparing the team for upcoming games. I will do the best I can to help him. I hope players will do a good job
