The defender of FC Dynamo Kyiv Maksym Korobov commented on the 2:1 victory over Polissya Zhytomyr on Profootball Digital.
- Good feelings, glad we won. It was a very important match and you all understand the situation in the standings. The match was quite good, a good atmosphere - our fans, Polissya fans, many people attended. So I’m very happy.
- For you this atmosphere is new as this is only your fourth match in senior football. How do you prepare for full stadiums like this?
- Honestly I don’t prepare at all. It hardly affects me. It just adds to the football atmosphere. I’ve been working toward this all my life - playing in front of crowds - and I’m not afraid. I’m very glad people come to football and that I can showcase my game to them.
- You faced a serious opponent on the flank, a Ukrainian national team player. What instructions did you receive about Nazarenko?
- We noted that he’s very quick so I shouldn’t give him too much space or let him run behind me. In the first half I made one mistake but afterward I tried not to repeat it and not give him free zones. Very good opponent.
- You were involved in both goals - first with a cross, then winning a challenge. Early reports called you a more defensive player. Are you developing attacking skills or have you always had them and the perception was just wrong?
- Honestly I don’t pay attention to what people say. There will always be talk… I just try to do my job. If there’s a chance to attack - I attack, if I need to defend - I defend. Of course I try to improve my attacking qualities, maybe deliver better crosses. It will come, the main thing is to work on myself.
- How do you work on crosses? The first goal had a high-arching delivery and there was another in the second half…
- After training I spend 15–20 minutes pushing myself, just practicing crosses. Overall I work a lot with the ball.
- Can you comment on the VAR and refereeing moments? Polissya had some complaints…
- Complaints always exist - from both teams. Every team wants the best possible result. Football is emotions. Especially with a 2:1 score there are many controversial moments. So, of course, complaints have always existed and always will be.
