FC Dynamo Kyiv head coach Mircea Lucescu has commented upon the White-Blues’ first UPL defeat of the season for Dynamo TV.
- We didn’t lose for a year. That had to happen one day. You can’t win all the time. We started the game pretty well and created some chances. We had to score. Then one mistake resulted in conceded goal. After that the game changed. Vorskla focused on defense and counterattacks. They have good experienced players. They were killing the clock.
As for the penalty, I’m not sure it was fair. I need to watch that episode again. Vorskla player just slammed into Sydorchuk.
- You’ve played seven games within a month. Have players got tired?
- We weren’t supposed to lose the home match against Barcelona. It was a great disappointment. I didn’t manage to fix players mentally after that defeat. There were a lot of corners and free kicks today, but Vorskla keeper did a good job. It was a bad day for us. We didn’t use our chances. Besides, there were people, who handled certain episodes in a wrong way.
