FC Dynamo Kyiv head coach Mircea Lucescu has summarized the UPL matchday 16 game against FC Mynai (2:0).
- Why did Dynamo play two absolutely different halves?
- That often happens after the Champions League. We were too self-assured and relaxed before the break. We could score three-four goals, but didn’t. I told players the second half would be different as home side would be much more aggressive.
I think we were lucky today. Mynai created 3-4 good chances, they were more determined. We were losing scrimmage, so the outcome is perfect for us.
It’s good that now we have a week to get ready as our players didn’t have any breaks before. They featured in the UPL, Champions League, performed for national teams.
- Didn’t players react to what you told them during the break?
- I warned them the game would be tough, but I guess they didn’t understand that. In the second half, they panicked. That was obvious. It’s very important we’ve grabbed three points. Now we can move on, – told Mircea Lucescu “UPL Online”.
