FC Dynamo Kyiv head coach Mircea Lucescu has commented upon 2:0 win against FC Metalist 1925 Kharkiv for Football 2 channel.
- Do you agree you’ve won with few casualties?
- We’ve done a good job and won. We opposed really good team. I analyzed Metalist 1925. They play decent football, switch from defense to attack through passing and have dangerous counterattacks. I knew we needed a goal to make home side attack. We scored early in the second half and took the situation under control completely.
I’m satisfied with our performance. It was tough as Metalist 1925 defended orderly. But things changed after the first goal. Especially I’m satisfied with those, who replaced injured and suspended performers. The substitute appearance of Harmash was of great importance. He scored and changed the situation on the field.
- Referee checked VAR twice and cancelled one goal. What do you think of that?
- I can’t comment upon refereeing or VAR. It seemed to me there was a foul against Harmash inside the penalty area. I don’t understand why referee refused to check VAR in that episode. Anyway, he hasn’t spoiled the game too much.
- What adjustments did you make after the first half?
- That’s between me and players, but after the break they were doing better and scored twice. I guess we could win by even bigger margin.
