In Round 26 of the Ukrainian Premier League Dynamo Kyiv will host Shakhtar Donetsk.
Ahead of the game the Referees Committee of the Ukrainian Association of Football has appointed the officiating team which will be led by Oleksandr Afanasiev. This season Kharkiv-based referee has already officiated three matches involving Dynamo: the Round 3 UPL away match against Epitsentr (1:4), the Round 20 clash against Obolon (2:1) and the recent Ukrainian Cup away semi-final against Bukovyna (0:3).
Overall in the 2025/2026 season Afanasiev has worked as the main referee in 12 Ukrainian Premier League matches and one Ukrainian Cup game. In these fixtures he has shown a total of 28 yellow cards and awarded one penalty.
