FC Dynamo Kyiv head coach Oleksandr Shovkovskyi has met the representatives of the football and diplomatic community at the honorary dinner at the Embassy of Germany.
Shovkovskyi had a chance to communicate with the Euro-2024 football ambassador and Germany national team former defender Arne Friedrich, the head of the sports department responsible for diplomacy of Euro-2024 Peter Kettner, the permanent deputy of the Ambassador of Germany to Ukraine Tim Prange and the Kyiv City State Administration and the legendary Ukrainian sportsman Vitalii Klychko.
The main topic of the conversation was the development of Ukrainian sports, and in particular football, in the conditions of war in our country. Despite constant shellings and attacks on Ukrainian cities, the country’s football league took place for the second season in a row, and the national team made it to the Euro-2024 finals.
Ukraine’s war against the Russian invaders has been on for more than 10 years, but even in such conditions our country develops amateur and professional sports and wins big victories on the international stage. Our country is glorified by representatives of many sports who won gold at competitions of various levels.
