Dynamo Kyiv U19 defender Oleksii Rybak spoke about his expectations ahead of the first leg of the UEFA Youth League Champions Path second round (2025/2026 season) against Swedish club Brommapojkarna:
- Our team is in good shape. We arrived in Poland, had lunch and rested. I think we’ve had enough time to recover after the trip. I’m coming back from injury and gradually getting into form — everything’s fine.
- Brommapojkarna is a strong Scandinavian team with tall physical players. How well are you prepared for this particular opponent?
- I’d say about 70%. We watched their match before heading here. It’s clear they’re a tough team — tall, powerful guys. On Tuesday we’ll have another training session and see how ready we are.
- Do you think it’s an advantage for them that they’ll play one match at home and one away while Dynamo will effectively play both legs away?
- I don’t know. For our team it doesn’t really matter where we play. We’ll give 100% regardless to achieve the result we need.
- What do you think is the key in two-legged ties like this?
- I think the most important thing is to give your all on the pitch in both matches — to play with maximum effort for all 180 minutes.
- How well have young players adapted within the team? Are they ready for a tournament of this level?
- I think they’re ready. We, the older guys born in 2006 and 2007, talk to them and help them adapt better. I think everything will be fine.
