Dynamo U19 midfielder Pavlo Liusin commented on the team’s confident 6:0 victory over Kudrivka in the 15th round of the National League U19:
- We confidently beat Kudrivka today. During this match we were already preparing for the game against Hibernian in the UEFA Youth League. Whether it’s Kudrivka or Hibernian, we must give our all.
- The team once again managed to open the scoring very early. What’s the secret behind such strong starts?
- First minutes show how the whole game will go. We need to take control right away and “intimidate” opponents, to show confidence from the very beginning and work hard until the 90th minute.
- You scored Dynamo’s second goal after a brilliant run into the penalty area. What was that moment like for you?
- Both Ihor Kostyuk and Pavlo Cherednichenko always tell me to find space between the lines, receive the ball there and move forward. Look back less and go forward more.
- Dynamo were leading Kudrivka 5:0 at halftime. What did the coaching staff tell you before the second half?
- The coach told us to go out and show in the second half the same football we showed in the opening minutes. Not to relax, keep scoring, keep moving forward. And to stay solid in defence, just like in the first half.
- How nice is it to go into the league break after such a confident win?
- We’re happy to have won the last match but we remember that we’re at second place and during the winter break we’ll need to prepare and show results in the second half of the season.
- How would you assess Dynamo’s performance in the first part of the championship?
- We need to fix the fact that we are at second place. In the first round we lacked the finishing touch. We created chances but some matches ended in draws.
- In a few days Dynamo will play an important match against Hibernian in the UEFA Youth League. What do you expect from that game?
- Before the match the only thought is to go out and win. The team will train, recover properly and prepare for the game.
