Dynamo youth team midfielder Pavlo Liusin summed up the winning match of the 4th round of the National U19 League against Shakhtar.
- Incredible emotions. I am very happy that we won. We gave everything we had and followed the instructions of the coaching staff on the pitch.
- You already have experience playing matches against Shakhtar in the National U19 League. How did this affect your preparation for today's game, and how did you help the guys who had just joined the team?
- We always go into a match against Shakhtar with the mindset to win. Dynamo and Shakhtar are giants of Ukrainian football. Both teams want to win when they face each other. The guys from the academy understand this as well. They motivate themselves for the game, and the older, more experienced players support them.
- The second half was more difficult for the team than the first. Why did it turn out that way?
- The opponents started pressing more, and we dropped a little deeper. Nothing serious, the main thing is that we got the result.
- Throughout the match, especially in the first half, Dynamo actively pressed and forced the opponents into mistakes. How did the coaching staff assess the team's defensive performance?
- The coaches thanked us for following their instructions. We pressed, switched to a 4-4-2 formation, and closed down the spaces well. The coaching staff praised us and said that we did a great job.
- This season you are playing for both the U19 and U21 teams. Have you gotten used to such a competitive rhythm?
- Of course. The opponents are strong at both levels. In the U21, experienced professional footballers who play for the first teams are involved, while in the U19, talented players from academies come through.
