Pavlo Liusin played for Ukraine U19 against Germany in the Euro 2026's semi-final

In the semi-final of the UEFA European Under-19 Championship 2026, the Ukraine U19 national team faced their peers from Germany and suffered a 1:2 defeat in the closing minutes of the match.

It should be recalled that Dmytro Mykhailenko’s side finished first in their group after three victories and secured qualification for the 2027 FIFA U20 World Cup finals.

At the end of the first half Dmytro Mykhailenko’s team took the lead when, following Kalyuzhnyi’s delivery, Hliut scored with a header from the edge of the goal area. However, in the final seconds of the half, during stoppage time, the "Blue-and-Yellows" conceded when Shtange beat the defenders and accurately finished past Domchak. The score remained unchanged until the final minute of the match, but in second-half stoppage time Oniieka managed to put his team ahead after a cross to the far post and a subsequent knockdown from Shtange, setting the final score at 1:2.

It should be noted that Dynamo midfielder Pavlo Liusin took part in the match, starting in the lineup and playing the full game. Another representative of our team, defender Kostiantyn Hubenko, remained on the bench.

In the other semi-final, Spain defeated Croatia 3:0. The final will take place on Saturday, 11 July.
