Dynamo head coach Igor Kostiuk answered questions from the media after the 4th-round Ukrainian Premier League match against Bukovyna.
– What didn’t work out for the team today? What surprised you about Bukovyna?
– The opponent didn’t surprise us in any way – we made unfortunate mistakes. In the first half, we created chances and had the advantage. Bukovyna created nothing else during this period, but we couldn’t score and equalize. The team dominated, but then another unfortunate mistake… We failed to capitalize on our chances. The opponents’ quick transitions, which we had emphasized, made the difference.
– Was the substitution of Vyacheslav Surkis a decision by the coaching staff or did the player himself ask to be replaced?
– Vyacheslav asked to be substituted – psychologically, he felt that it was necessary at that moment. So we agreed to his request.
