On Tuesday, September 10, Ukraine national team played the Nations League 2nd game of the season. Serhii Rebrov’s men faced Czech Republic away.
Four FC Dynamo Kyiv players took the field in the starting lineup – defender Oleksandr Tymchyk, halfbacks Mykola Shaparenko and Andrii Yarmolenko, forward Vladyslav Vanat.
The Yellow-Blues conceded in the 22nd minute as Shaparenko didn’t manage to clear the ball properly, Cerny crossed to Sulc who hit the target – 1:0.
Visitors responded with the goal arranged by Dynamo players: Shaparenko put a cross into the penalty area and Vanat headed the ball in – 1:1. That was his first goal for the national team!
Still the Yellow-Blues conceded another one in a stoppage time. Sulc hit the corner accurately – 2:1.
In the 80th minute the score became 3:1. Matviyenko handled the ball inside the box, referee awarded penalty and Soucek converted from the spot.
84 minutes into the game visitors pulled one back as Sudakov headed the ball in after cross from Tsyhankov.
Then another Kyivans took the field – Oleksandr Pikhalionok. Still the score didn’t change anymore.
