FC Dynamo Kyiv halfback Roman Salenko has shared his impressions of the game against Galatasaray SK (3:3) which was his euro cups debut.
- Congrats on the debut, Roman! How’re you feeling?
- I’m really glad. Besides we’ve gained our first Europa League point. These are incredible emotions.
- You played in the UEFA Youth League, but this one was obviously different. Was it difficult to take the field at such a moment?
- It was. It wasn’t some regular game. It was a match in front of a full stadium where fans booed us every time we touched the ball.
- The game wasn’t a success for Dynamo at first, but the team grabbed the draw. What were the emotions like in the locker-room?
- Those were emotions of joy. The president of the club came to congratulate us on such a performance. We realize this is just one point, but we’ve demonstrated our character and what we’re capable of and well demonstrate this next season.
- Before the game the coach and the skipper said this would be the battle for reputation of the club. Were you eager to show all you’ve got?
- I agree with Galatasaray gaffer who said that despite our current position in the table, Dynamo are really good team with quality players.
- Does the return of Andrii Yarmolenko boost players’ confidence?
- You saw it all yourself. We feel more confident event at training sessions when he’s with us.
