We’ve already told about possible Croatian rendezvous Domagoj Vida vs Milan Badelj and meeting of ex-Basel teammates Aleksandar Dragovic and Mohamed Salah.
It should be also mentioned that both Miguel and Alberto Gilardino used to feature for Genoa CFC.
At first they were opponents. On September 22 2009 Genoa with Miguel in their squad drew against Gilardino’s Fiorentina – 1:1. Portuguese midfielder got an assist to his name in that match. The same season both performers took the field in the game in Florence. Home side won it – 1:0.
The following year Gilardino and Miguel were opponents again on October 30 2011 (Fiorentina won – 1:0), but in the second part of the season they became teammates in Genoa. On March 25 their club drew against the Lilies – 2:2.
On April 16 2015 Miguel and Alberto can face each other struggling for place in the Europa League semifinals.
- It will be great to see Gilardino. Fiorentina have high profile performers, but Dynamo are ready to fight for the trophy.
