- How can you describe the first half of the season for Dynamo?
- First of all we’ve got a team. Players fight for each other. That gladdens me. I see progress, our performers have mutual understanding on the pitch. That’s why I guess we’ve made the first step in right direction. Beside we demonstrate positive results. Still that’s just the start. We aren’t going to stop.
- Dynamo have a lot of young players. Have you found proper balance between youth and experience at this stage?
- I hope so. I grew up in Ukraine and I wouldn’t have become who I am today but for a chance I got in my day. I’m sure that there are a lot of talented players in our country and they should have an opportunity to approve themselves. First of all DynamoAcademy must work properly. I hope changes we try to introduce will benefit the club.
- What can you say about players’ mutual understanding? A lot of performers were injured…
- That’s natural for any team. I’m thankful to players as they do their best on the pitch.
- Yarmolenko is Dynamo best player according to goal+assist system. Is he the leader of your team?
- I’m glad that Andriy’s play has changed. He’s become more versatile. He’s a true leader capable of anything. In recent matches I saw his willingness to benefit the team, but not only desire to hit the target. Still scoring is also his task. Andriy is a halfback, so the number of his goals and assists means he’s a high profile performer.
- Speaking about changes in the team many players state that they enjoy the game and want the season to go on. Do you also regret that the first part of the season is over?
- Today the team enjoys playing not to speak of great amount of work guys perform. It’s hardly possible to imagine successful club without that aspect. I guess that’s why players say that they’d like the season to go on. They’ve just got up an appetite for victories.
