- All Ukrainian teams were outplayed by their opponents in UEFA Europa League…
- It’s a pity. As for our team – we played better than Bordeaux but unfortunately we didn’t use a lot of goal-scoring opportunities. Constant change of coaches doesn’t have positive impact on the way we play. I hope that next season we’ll overcome all difficulties. At the moment our aim is to secure the Champions League spot.
- Do you feel support of your fans or maybe Dynamo are criticized more often?
- Of course our fans want to see changes for better as soon as possible but they must realize that we need some time. Several matches are not enough. Oleh Blokhin works hard to improve Dynamo’s play.
- Some specialists criticize Yuri Semin rather harshly. Victor Leonenko, for example…
- One shouldn’t pay much attention to Leonenko’s words. I suppose criticism is his main task on television. Semin did a lot for Dynamo Kyiv and for me personally.
- Do you still communicate with him?
- He watched some of our friendlies in Spain during mid-season training camps. So we had a chance to talk. Sometimes we call each other.
- What’s your attitude to the project of Commonwealth of Independent States league?
- I think it’s unreal. Russia and Ukraine are different countries. Besides, FIFA doesn’t support that project. I think that both Ukraine and Russia have good national leagues so the united league is inappropriate.
- Is Russia more interested in Commonwealth of Independent States league than Ukraine?
- This topic is not of great interest in Ukraine. Besides, the main sponsor of this league would have been Gazprom Company which means that Russian teams, especially FC Zenit St. Petersburg will have privileges.
