The White-Blues’ Ukrainian Cup campaign ended at the quarter-final stage with a disappointing 2-0 away defeat by arch-rivals FC Shakhtar Donetsk on Wednesday. Nonetheless, the players have to forget about this mistake and focus on the upcoming Champions League and Ukrainian championship matches.
Croatian midfielder Darijo Srna found a way through the Dynamo defence on 23 minutes, and Brazilian player Fernandinho doubled the advantage three minutes into stoppage time to move Shakhtar to the semi-final stage. The visitors finished with ten men after Dynamo midfield player Ognjen Vukojević was red-carded for unsporting conduct.
