The stadium was built in 1931 and till 1991 it was called Comunale. Eventually it was named after the former president of the Football Federation of Italy Artemio Franchi. He also was UEFA president from 1972 till 1983. On August 12 1983 he was killed in motor accident.
The arena was reconstructed before the 1990 World Cup that took place in Italy. Race tracks were demounted and capacity was increased to 47 290 seats.
The press conference of Serhiy Rebrov will start at the press centre of the stadium at 18:30 (Kyiv time). At 19:00 Dynamo will have a training session at Stadio Artemio Franchi.
