Speaking about the stadium, it was built in summer of 2010 by architects Špela Videčhnik and Rok Oman. The project of Slovenian specialists is unique. The arena has a capacity of 12,548. It matches UEFA criteria and can host Champions League and Europa League games.
It was Ukraine fourth away fixture against Belarus. Three previous matches took place in Minsk. Two of them ended in a draw and one was won by our team.
Six home side performers, who were in the starting lineup, represent Russian clubs.
Our team had players featuring only in the Ukrainian Premier League.
In the first half Ukraine controlled the ball, but Belarus played very orderly for defense.
Nothing actually changed after the break, but 82 minutes into the match Martynovich netted own goal after cross from Yevhen Konoplianka.
Several seconds before the time FC Dynamo Kyiv halfback and Ukraine debutant Serhiy Sydorchuk, who made a substitute appearance in the second half, doubled the score after assist from Andriy Yarmolenko!
