Four FC Dynamo Kyiv players were in home side starting lineup: Oleh Husiev (95th cap), Denys Harmash (18th), Andriy Yarmolenko (48th) and Artem Kravets (4th).
Mykhailo Fomenko’s men totally controlled the game in the first half. 35 minutes into the match Oleh Husiev put a low cross into the box, Andriy Yarmolenko obtained the ball after rebound and hit the target (19th goal for Ukraine).
After the break another Kyivan Serhiy Rybalka replaced Harmash and thus made his debut for the national team.
Another representative of our club featured for Latvia – Vitaliys Yahodynskis.
Visitors netted the equalizer in a stoppage time.
