Ukraine remained second in Group 6 after sharing a goalless draw with Croatia in Saturday's World Cup qualifier. The Ukrainian team have made the perfect start to their qualifying campaign with two wins out of two. Nevertheless, the match against one of the favourites Croatia had to become a real test for both contenders.
The game began at a high tempo, with the hosts winning five early corners. Despite creating a number of scoring opportunities, Mykhailychenko's lads failed to take the advantage. However, Slaven Bilic's men could not find a way past their hosts as well.
The result leaves Ukraine in the second place in Group 6, while Croatia remain third with five points behind England. Croatia will host Andorra on Wednesday, while Ukraine will travel to England at the beginning of April.
