FC Dynamo Kyiv head coach Oleksandr Shovkovskyi answered media questions after the game against FC Vorskla Poltava (1:1).
- I can say we weren’t ready to play under such conditions. We were supposed to simplify the game, use long balls. There were some decent chances, but anyway we didn’t play we were supposed under these weather conditions.
As for the conceded goal, we let the player put a cross while another headed the ball in. We tried to enforce our wings, but that wasn’t effective. The players who were subbed in didn’t benefit our quality and speed.
- Don’t you think your team played worse after they opened the score?
- There was too much short passing that harmed our football.
- Maybe you should have substituted Yarmolenko earlier? He didn’t look so fresh in the second half.
- I’m not sure. I always ask him how he feels and he says he’s fine. He has some qualities other players don’t.
