The White-Blues came to Lviv in a good mood after victory against FC Shakhtar Donetsk in the Ukrainian Super Cup. Dynamo head coach didn’t make a single substitution in the starting lineup comparing to that game.
Kyivans created the first scoring chance of the match. Harmash attempted from inside the box after cross from Buialskyi, but goalkeeper Pidkivka parried his shot. In a while he failed to clear the ball after cross from corner flag and Kedziora almost headed it in, but Di Franco saved the home side.
It seemed fans wouldn’t see any goals in the first half, but Dynamo managed to score even twice. At first Karpaty defender Kovtun hit his own goal after cross from the right side. And then referee awarded penalty for visitors for the four against Harmash. Besedin converted from the spot.
Karpaty got more active after the break, but actually didn’t create real chances. The White-Blues tried to increase the lead, but Harmash and Tsyhankov didn’t use their opportunities.
So, Dynamo win the first UPL game of the season. Our team will spend the next several days in Lviv as on August 3 they’ll face FC Lviv there.
