Dynamo midfielder Valentyn Rubchynskyi commented on the away match against Samsunspor in which the White and Blues suffered a 0:3 defeat.
– How are you feeling personally? Was it harder in the second half?
– Yes, toward the end I got a bit tired because I haven’t played at such a high pace for a long time, so it was a bit difficult.
– You stayed in the dressing room for quite a while. What did Shovkovskyi say?
– We just talked with the coach as a team. We listened to what he said but let’s keep that in the dressing room.
– In the first half team was quite active, especially up front and on the wings. But in the second half that was missing. What was the reason?
– Honestly, I don’t know. We wanted to come back, during halftime we understood that we could do it. The first half was even in terms of play so we wanted to equalize but it didn’t work out.
– Did anything about Samsunspor surprise you?
– They have a very good team with quick wingers. We knew that but they made good use of their flanks and took their chances.
– How did the team react to Thiares’s mistake? Did you support him?
– Of course, we supported him. Everyone makes mistakes. The early goal definitely influenced the game but everyone makes errors so I wouldn’t say he’s to blame for this defeat.
– In your opinion what allowed Samsunspor to win today? What was their main advantage?
– Their advantage was their aggressiveness. The opponent was more aggressive than us - that was clear. And the early goal also had an impact - that’s obvious. But I don’t want to make excuses, the scoreline reflects the game.
– Are you satisfied with your own performance? You missed a lot of time due to injury at the start of the season, now you’re back in the starting lineup and the head coach praised you at the press conference…
– I wouldn’t say I’m completely satisfied but I’m glad I got back on the pitch - that’s already good. I could’ve played better but I’ll analyze my game and, if I continue to get chances, I’ll try to show better performances.
