FC Dynamo Kyiv hosted FC Kolos Kovalivka in the 2022/23 Ukrainian Premier League matchday 13 game.
The White-Blues’ forward Vladyslav Vanat was skipping the match due to suspension while goalkeeper Heorhiy Bushchan took his place on the field again.
The first half wasn’t reach on scoring chances. Dynamo were better in terms of possession and bothered Kolos keeper Yevhen Volynets a number of times. Visitors had a chance for a promising counterattack as Zabarnyi slipped and fell in the midfield, but the episode finished with inaccurate pass by Miakushko.
Dynamo attacks lacked final pass or strike. Tsyhankov took a free kick pretty well, but Volynets coped with the shot. Serhiy Sydorchuk attempted from distance twice – inaccurately.
The situation didn’t change a lot after the break. Dynamo attacked while Kolos focused on defense, but Kyivans didn’t succeed. Meanwhile Orikhovskyi tested the reaction of Bushchan in the 61st minute – Heorhiy parried.
Justin Lonwijk had a good opportunity right after his substitute appearance, but Volynets was there for his team.
In the 68th minute things got even more complicated for Dynamo. Denys Popov got his second booking of the game and was sent off.
Home side kept attacking despite that. Lonwijk finished Dynamo combination from close range, but sent the ball over the bar. Sydorchuk unleashed powerful shot from the box line – Volynets saved.
So, it’s 0:0. On Thursday, November 17, Dynamo will play the postponed matchday 1 game against FC Inhulets Petrove. Venue – Valeriy Lobanovskyi Stadium.
