FC Dynamo Kyiv hosted FC Oleksandria in the Ukrainian Premier League matchday 9 game.
Halfway through the week Dynamo lost against FC Obolon Kyiv (0:1) and tumbled out of the Ukrainian Cup, so they started this match with extreme motivation. In the 8th minute defender blocked the strike by Buialskyi, Dubinchak obtained the ball and unleashed decent volley, but goalkeeper parried.
Then Andriyevskyi missed just a bit, like Yarmolenko and Vanat. But eventually the White-Blues scored. Dubinchak won a free kick in the right side, Andriyevskyi put across, Karavayev touched with a header, Brazhko reached the ball in the far post and sent it into the net – 1:0.
The home side continued controlling the situation and creating opportunities. Yarmolenko and Vanat attempted from distance, but missed.
Oleksandria mostly tried using wings, but Dynamo defense was coping with their crosses. Still later Ruslan Rotan’s men found their chance. At first Geovani was finishing after low cross and hit Bushchan, but in a few minutes visitors put a corner and Oleksandria halfback equalized after inaccurate touch from Syrota – 1:1.
Despite that Dynamo finished the first half being ahead. Karavayev rushed down the right hand side, was fouled against, but Yarmolenko received the ball, crossed and Vanat made it 2:1.
Early in the second half visitors equalized again. After cross from the free kick Dynamo didn’t clear the ball, Skorko obtained it and hit the bottom corner spectacularly – 2:2.
Then Popov made a serious mistake in defensive half Oleksandria totally could turn into another goal, but Bushchan coped with the strike by Shulianskyi. In the opposite half referee awarded free kick for Dynamo as Oleksandria goalkeeper was holding the ball too long, but the shot by Brazhko and follow-up by Andriyevskyi were blocked.
Anyway the White-Blues succeeded again eventually. Vanat touched with a head after corner and Brazhko scored a similar goal being in the far post.
Dynamo kept attacking and had more opportunities. In a stoppage time, Kabayev rushed down the left wing and found Buialskyi, who made it 4:2 from close range.
So, Dynamo win and approach the group of the league leaders.
