FC Dynamo Kyiv hosted FC Vorskla Poltava at the NSC Olimpiyskyi within the Ukrainian Premier League matchday 14.
The White-Blues approached this game having unbeaten domestic league streak including 30 matches.
Mircea Lucescu’s men rushed forward right away and started creating chances. Buialskyi attempted after Vorskla keeper’s mistake, but his shot was blocked.
In the 22nd minute, de Pena unleashed a strike from the penalty area line and hit the post. Later Zabarnyi missed with a header after corner.
It seemed that Dynamo goal was just a matter of time, but then visitors scored. Rangel headed the ball in after cross into the box – 0:1.
Ramirez could equalize at once after cross by Tymchyk, but defenders blocked his shot.
After the first half, Ramirez was substituted with Harmash. Meanwhile Vorskla could increase the lead. Kedziora blocked the shot by Rangel from inside the box and cleared the ball.
Tsyhankov attempted in his style, but the ball went a bit wide. Harmash obtained the ball inside the penalty area, but goalkeeper did a good job and parried his shot from close range.
And then Stepaniuk fell in Dynamo box after clash with Sydorchuk. Upon checking VAR, referee awarded penalty and Thill made it 0:2.
In the 80th minute, Vorskla forward Kravchuk was sent off as he got the second booking. Still visitors totally could make it 0:3 as Stepaniuk hit the post from distance.
Dynamo pulled one back in a stoppage time. After cross from the corner flag, goalkeeper parried the header by Zabarnyi, but Vitinho was there to send the ball into the net – 1:2. Dynamo had a couple of free kicks after that, but didn’t manage to salvage a draw.
