FC Dynamo Kyiv faced FC LNZ Cherkasy away in the Ukrainian Premier League matchday 8 game.
The White-Blues have played the least games in the league so far, so they aim to demonstrate their maximum, especially after they tumbled out of euro cups.
Visitors stepped in front in the third minute. Brazhko obtained the ball in the midfield, approached the goal a bit and hit the corner from distance. Goalkeeper didn’t have a chance to save that kind of strike.
Diallo, who made his first starting lineup appearance for Dynamo, was especially active. At first he attempted from wide range, but Penkov parried. Then Samba aimed at the corner from inside the box, but keeper did a great job again.
LNZ had their opportunities too. Pasich missed the target after moving towards the center from the left side. Khoblenko rushed towards the goal, but Popov didn’t let him shoot properly.
Yarmolenko had a great chance to increase the lead in the 30th minute. After corner and some mess inside the penalty area Andriy obtained the ball, but missed.
Late in the first half home side had pretty good opportunities to equalize. Oliynyk’s shot wasn’t really a problem for Bushchan, but the strike by Naumets made Dynamo keeper demonstrate his skills.
The second half started with another chance for LNZ. Norenkov rushed into the box down the left hand side, got the ball and shot into from the six-yard-box corner, but Bushchan cleared.
Cherkasy side kept pressing and succeeded in the 60th minute. Karavayev handled the ball after cross from the right side and referee awarded penalty. Boiko converted from the spot – 1:1.
Still Dynamo experience played the crucial role. 72 minutes into the game Yarmolenko eluded his opponents inside the penalty area and sent the ball into the far corner. Later Muravskyi fouled against Dubinchak inside the box and referee awarded another penalty. Buialskyi made it 1:3. This was his 50th goal in domestic league.
LNZ didn’t give up and pulled one back in a stoppage time. Priadun headed the ball in after cross from the left side. Still afterwards Benito rushed down the left hand side and assisted Voloshyn, who hit the open goal.
So, it’s 2:4 for Dynamo.
