On Sunday, March 31, FC Dynamo Kyiv faced FC Vorskla Poltava away in the Ukrainian Premier League matchday 22 game.
Kyivans took the ball under control right away, but home side defended orderly and didn’t let the White-Blues created too many chances.
The first decent opportunity happened in the 23rd minute. Voloshyn aimed at the upper V from distance, but Isenko parried. Vorskla responded as Felipe attempted with a header after corner, but missed from a very promising position.
Dynamo opened the score in the 30th minute. Syrota found Vanat with a long ball, Vladyslav received the ball, eluded the keeper and hit the target – 0:1.
Vorskla could equalize straight away. Krupskyi left Dubinchak behind in the right side, crossed into the box, Kane unleashed his strike, but Tymchyk saved his team by clearing the ball from the goal line.
In the 30th minute the game was interrupted due to the air raid alert. The break lasted almost two hours. As the match continued, Dynamo doubled the score. After cross from the corner flag, Brazhko obtained the ball inside the penalty area and scored – 0:2.
Shortly after the brief break, Dynamo increased their lead. Vanat won a penalty and Shaparenko converted from the spot – 0:3.
Vorskla had a chance as Kovtaliuk hit the post from inside the box after which Bushchan parried the follow-up from Kane.
Afterwards the White-Blues scored two more. Voloshyn rushed through the left side, crossed and Shaparenko sent the ball into the net with a chip – 0:4. And then Yarmolenko, who made his first substitute appearance after injury, made it 0:5 after pass from Brazhko.
Still Vorskla managed to pull one back. Kovtaliuk succeeded after low cross from the left wing.
Anyway, it’s 5:1 for Dynamo, who’re third in the league table now.
