FC Dynamo Kyiv new skipper Vitaliy Buialskyi has shared his impressions of the win against FC Vorskla Poltava.
- Vitaliy, how difficult was it to win today?
- It was quite difficult. Vorskla have skillful players able to use their chance. We tried not to let them create opportunities.
- Have Vorskla surprised you somehow?
- Not really, although we thought Yurchenko would be the second forward. But he didn’t play. Basically we’ve fulfilled what we discussed with the coach.
- You’re Dynamo new skipper. Was there a kind of elections?
- There wasn’t. They just handed me the armband. Yarmolenko said I should be the team captain and everyone agreed. Now I’m a skipper on the field, Yarmolenko – in the locker room.
- What are the skipper’s duties about?
- First of all it’s additional responsibility. Sometimes you need to keep cool and help your teammates.
- Does coach pass any instructions to players through you?
- No, everyone can hear him clearly as we play behind closed doors.
- Congratulations on your 300th appearance for Dynamo! Did you know about this milestone before the game?
- I didn’t. As I mentioned before, I don’t read football news when the season is on.
- Anyway it’s really impressive. Do you remember your debut or any significant games?
- Basically I remember all of them. I wish I could rewind the time. I remember joining Dynamo and now I’m 30 and I need to think of what to do after my career is over. I still have seven-eight years, but then that’s it.
- It’s too soon to think of that this season anyway as you need to win the league, right?
- Sure! We’re moving from one game to another. Our next one is against LNZ. That’s what we focus one. We should treat every match as a final one.
