Vladyslav Dubinchak: «The game was under our control but we created few chances»

Dynamo Kyiv defender Vladyslav Dubinchak shared his thoughts after away match against LNZ Cherkasy (0:0) in Matchday 27 of the Ukrainian Premier League.

– It was a tough game. LNZ didn’t allow us to play or have free space so it was difficult today. There were few chances but we did have some. We needed to convert our opportunities and try to win today.

– LNZ are one of the league leaders in terms of intensity and physical performance. Did you feel that difference today compared to previous league matches?

– Yes, they are physically well prepared - good intensity, strong in duels. They play with five defenders so they have many players at the back, and it’s difficult to create chances near their goal.

– The beginning of the game was a bit nervous, with chances for both LNZ and Dynamo. Then the game seemed to come more under Dynamo’s control…

– It was under our control but, as I said, we created very few chances. LNZ allow you to control the ball but they don’t allow you to create opportunities near their goal. They play with five defenders which closes down the flanks, and you can’t really work with the ball because there are no free spaces.

– In the final minutes match became more open with both teams exchanging attacks. What was missing in order to score?

– Finishing. We had few shots from Voloshyn if I’m not mistaken. We had attempts but we just didn’t score from them.
