Vladyslav Kabayev has shared his impressions of the 2:0 win against FC Rukh Lviv:
- In terms of the league table, we’re currently not in the position to focus on game quality. We need to gain points. Victories must inspire us and make us move forward as Dynamo are the face of football Ukraine.
- Dynamo and Rukh were neighbors in the league table. Was your attitude to this game special in a way?
- It wasn’t. We just knew Rukh started the season really well. They have a lot of youngsters, who probably lack some experience, but have fire in their eyes. Of course we knew the game would be tough. But Dynamo must play as champions.
- It seemed Dynamo let Rukh maintain possession after the first goal. Was this a part of your plan?
- I guess we do it subconsciously. When you’re in front, you play taking the score into account. We scored and knew Rukh would rush forward. We couldn’t let them equalize. We had great counterattacks and could score more than twice in the first half.
- Last season Dynamo drew against Rukh away. Did you gain revenge today?
- I guess so. Frankly speaking, I don’t remember that game. Last season we lost a lot of points. Now we most win every match.
- Both goals were scored after Rukh player’s mistakes under pressure. Did you feel this kind of tactics works?
- We analyzed Rukh a lot. One of our tasks was to apply pressure when goalkeeper was starting their attacks. This worked twice.
- How do you feel about the goal you scored?
- I’m a winger, who couldn’t score for quite a while, so I was criticized a lot. I was really looking forward to this goal and aimed to shoot as much as I could. I guess this goal will motivate me and the team.
- Dynamo are gradually moving up in the league table. Do you feel positive about it?
- Sure. We believe things will keep getting better. We’re moving forward, but we need stability.
