FC Dynamo Kyiv midfielder Volodymyr Brazhko has shared his emotions of winning the Ukrainian Premier League title.
- It looks like you celebrate most emotionally in the team…
- Nah, it’s gotta be Rubchynskyi. He suggests stuff we can do and then we do it (smiling).
- What does this title mean to you?
- This is my first one. I’m very happy to win my first professional trophy. I was doing my best to benefit the team and I’m glad we covered the distance without a single defeat.
I wish we managed to win and gladden fans today, but it is what it is. After brief celebrations, we’ll start getting ready for international games and euro cups. This is history already. We need to get over it.
- How hard was winning this title for you personally – physically, mentally?
- Of course it was a hard season. Euro cups were a complete failure for us. But we went through the UPL season in one breath, without defeats. But we want to do better in euro cups next season.
The first part of the season was good for me. But then I got injured and didn’t feel so good for two-three months. Now I’m fine.
- Which moment will you be recalling when thinking of this victorious season?
- Not sure. There’s a lot to be recalled. The game against Kryvbas we won outnumbered, matches against Shakhtar, 3:0 against Oleksandria. Every game was important in its own way.
- What did Volodymyr Brazhko learn this season?
- A lot. I got stronger. I’m more accepting of criticism. And I hope things will keep getting better.
