Dynamo midfielder Volodymyr Brazhko spoke to the media ahead of the second leg of the Europa League first qualifying round against Universitatea Cluj.
– Do you think the one-week break between the matches has benefited Dynamo? Universitatea played in the Romanian Super Cup during that time...
– All teams are ready to play every three days now, especially since the season has only just begun. Maybe the break works in our favor, or maybe the opponents have better match sharpness. Universitatea also made some changes to their lineup in the Super Cup compared to our match.
I don’t want to make any bold statements before the game. Everything will be decided on the pitch tomorrow. We’ll see who is better – I hope it will be our team.
– According to media reports, 20,000 fans are expected to attend the match. Is the team ready for the pressure from the crowd?
– It’s not the first time we’ve played in front of a full stadium, so it’s nothing new. We’re expecting a great atmosphere and hope to win.
– Did any Universitatea players surprise you?
– I wouldn’t like to single anyone out. As a team, Universitatea played a very good match overall: they didn’t allow us to score, defended for the full 90 minutes, and created chances. We ended up with that result in the first match because of our own mistakes, so we want to start this game with a goal and finish it with a victory.
