Earlier this week Ukrainian Premier League announced the symbolic team of the week as well as the best coach and player for Matchday 20 of the championship. As usual the selection involved hosts, experts, commentators from UPL.TV and representatives of leading sports media in Ukraine.
Following the voting two Dynamo Kyiv players were included in the Matchday 20 symbolic team: midfielders Andriy Yarmolenko and Oleksandr Pikhalonok.
In the Kyiv derby against Obolon Kyiv (2:1) Andriy Yarmolenko converted a penalty in the 31st minute. This goal became his 118th in Ukrainian championship matches, moving him into sole third place in the all-time top scorers ranking.
Yarmolenko also finished third in the voting for Player of the Week.
Meanwhile Oleksandr Pikhalonok provided the assist to Matvii Ponomarenko who scored Dynamo’s second goal and secured the victory for the “White-Blues”.
