Serhiy Rebrov came to the press confidence together with team captain Olexandr Shovkovskyi, who sets up new record in number of appearances for the White-Blues in every game.
Really impressive arena
While they answered journalists’ questions other Kyivans were getting ready for the training sessions. One of the first to take the field was assistant coach Raul Riancho. He walked around inspecting the turf. “Impressive stadium! When was it built?” – asked Raul Dynamo interpreter Borys Ishchenko.
The Arena really impressed everyone. Serhiy Fedorov demonstrated thumbs-up as he stepped on the pitch.
Players were also looking around with interest.
Only Olexandr Shovkovskyi, who joined his teammates after the press conference, was focused only on the training session.
Dynamo scoring reminiscences
Still the Arena Națională isn’t something new for one FC Dynamo Kyiv performers. Jeremain Lens had a quick word with Christian Machowski, whose company arranges Kyivans’ trips.
“I’ve been here. A year or two ago I featured at this stadium. I even scored approximately from here!”, – showed the White-Blues winger (that happened on October 16 2012 as Netherlands defeated Romania within the 2014 World Cup qualification. Lens opened the score nine minutes into the game).
“Really? Then you must score tomorrow”, - responded Christian jokingly.
“I’ll try to do that!”, - promised Jeremain.
Way from the “National” in Bucharest to the “National” in Warsaw
The Arena Națională resembles the stadium in Warsaw, which is also called “National”. It was built before Euro-2012 and it will host the Europa League final this year.
Tomorrow game must become another step towards the final Dynamo supporters’ dream of. To reach Warsaw our team must succeed in eight more matches and outplay four opponents.
Journalists followed Kyivans’ training session for 15 minutes, after which they were asked to leave the stadium.
As for the weather in Bucharest, it’s cloudy and chilly. Still meteorologists state that it will be sunny on December 11.
