Comparing to the last game against FC Arsenal Kyiv the White-Blues head coach Oleh Blokhin made two substitutions in the starting lineup. Danilo Silva featured as right back instead of Oleh Husiev and Lukman Haruna replaced Serhiy Sydorchuk in the midfield.
Game aspects
Both sides started the game using wings a lot. It was quite clear that visitors would put their trust in counterattacks. Anyway Thun defenders acted confidently.
Seven minutes into the game Andriy Yarmolenko hit the bar with a long-range shot. Ten minutes before the break he broke the deadlock in some style, collecting the ball 30 metres out, wrong-footing Sekou Sanogo Junior with a couple of step-overs before unleashing a powerful drive into the top right.
After the break Kyivans did their best to extend the lead. At first Lukman Haruna missed the target from the box. Several minutes later Yarmolenko dodged Thun keeper in one-on-one situation, but then he barely stopped the ball and missed the chance.
60 minutes into the game Dieumerci Mbokani doubled the score, heading in at the near post following Danilo Silva's cross.
After that Dynamo kept creating goal-scoring opportunities. Sydorchuk and Husiev made substitute appearances. 12 minutes before the time Serhiy put a low cross into the penalty area and Oleh made the score 3:0.
