Aleksandar DRAGOVIC: “I hope I’ll make myself useful for Dynamo”

As Dragovic got his shirt (squad number – 6) from Oleh Blokhin he stated:

- I’m happy to have joined such great team as Dynamo. I am glad that such coach as Oleh Blokhin is sitting next to me. He also used to be an outstanding player. I’m sure that he’ll learn me a lot. I hope I’ll make myself useful for Dynamo.

- During the process of negotiations you stated that you would stay in Basel if you wouldn’t be signed by Inter Milan. Still in a week you moved to Kyiv. What has influenced your decision?

- I knew that Dynamo are a great team. Besides Kyivans made a good offer as they wanted to sign me. Berislav Stanoevic told me a lot about this club. I’m happy to be here.

- You already have an experience of adaptation to new country and team. Will it help you to adapt to Dynamo quickly?

- This experience is really useful, besides Berislav and Dynamo Croatian players help me a lot. I’ll do my best to study Russian language as quickly as possible.

- Do you understand Russian language without an interpreter?

- Sure, it sounds like Serbian. I already know 10-12 football expressions. I hope that in 3-4 months I’ll communicate with you in Russian.

- Have you already seen Dynamo infrastructure?

- Berislav has shown me both Dynamo Stadium and NSC Olimpiyskyi. I’ve also attended the training complex. Of course Dynamo have much better infrastructure than Basel.

- What are your impressions of Kyiv?

- Kyiv is a beautiful city. Women are very pretty here. Never the less at the moment I’m completely focused on football.

- What about living issues? Who will be your roommate at the training complex?

- I’ll share the room with Denys Harmash. I heard a lot about him. It’s a pity that he has picked up an injury. I’m looking forward for his recovery.

- You played for Austria as your national team faced Ukraine. Which of Dynamo players acted especially effectively in that game?

- The head coach asked us to pay special attention to Yarmolenko and Khacheridi.

- How many suitcases have you brought to Kyiv?

- Only two. I’ll bring more stuff later.

- How are you going to compete with Khacheridi and Vida for the place among first eleven?

- Competing is good for the team. Anyway only best players will take the field. No matter who will play, Dynamo must win the Ukrainian Premier League.
