Nowadays Olexiy helps Ukrainian soldiers, who are in flash points of Donbas. When we called him he was not far from Debaltseve and said he wasn’t sure whether he would come to the NSC Olimpiyskyi to take part in 2014/15 UPL winners honouring:
- I haven’t talked about that with Dynamo representatives yet. I hope I’ll return to Kyiv by May 30 and then we’ll see…

- Considering the situation in our country, war and big number of refugees unfortunately many people have forgotten about football a bit. For example I was presented with a ticked to the Europa League final, but I won’t go to Warsaw, as I went to Donbas instead…
I’m really happy for Dynamo players, who are my friends. I wish football was the only kind of rivalry in Ukraine. Of course FC Shakhtar Donetsk were in unusual situation this season. They train in Kyiv and play home fixtures in Lviv. I want Dynamo to defeat Shakhtar at Donbas-Arena.
